“Nights” by Frank Ocean

A languid, hazy escape from the edgy but approachable major label debut, Frank Ocean’s Blonde is a difficult album to unpack but is ultimately every bit as rewarding as Channel Orange. “Nights” in particular is a slow-building, constantly evolving work that begins in a deceivingly simplistic manner before turning into an acid-washed, velvety smooth R&B track.
